The lowest involvement, interest of unemployed youth and the past experience of training encouraged trust to continue the training as the demand for handicrafts in local markets increased and provided training in preparation of handicraft items. Trust provided training to poor unemployed weaker sections youth in preparation of handicrafts items covering 40 youth each year in two batches for a period of six months. Trust observed that the poor beneficiaries are not in a position to procure the raw material and market the finished items due to poverty, they were assisted through linkages with dealers who supplied the raw material, purchased the finished products and paid the remunerations as per quantum of work they performed or prepared the items.
